Hello again from Tiny Oaks central!
Due to overwhelming demand, we here at Tinyoaks have started the process of designing our first line of plushie dolls. And here are the first two candidates. SpriteLite and Mr. Tick N Squeak, with Amanda Acorn coming soon! They are cute, they are cuddly, we bring them to you, most delightedly! Take a look, and please give us your feedback! Sing Along at Storyopolis! Saturday, December 16th was an exciting day for the Tiny Oaks family - the public debut of our new cd, "Sing Along With Me" at Storyopolis book store! We had an amazing turn out - the place was packed with people hearing all the new songs sung by our talented "cast of characters!" Plus, we were all treated to a dazzling performance by the ubersongwriter, Richard Sherman. He played some of his hit songs from "Winnie the Pooh," "Mary Poppins," "Jungle Book," "Chitty, Chitty,Bang, Bang," and the timeless classic, "It's a Small World." We were amazed how Richard's music crossed generational lines - the kids and parents, both, knew all the words and had a blast joining in on a group "sing along!" All in all, it was the perfect celebration of our newest musical adventure!

Tiny Oaks is pleased to announce our first ever CD of music! The songs on the new Tiny Oaks music CD were written by two-time Oscar and Grammy winner Richard M. Sherman. Richard, along with his brother Robert, were the composers and lyricists of all the beloved hits from many movies such as “Mary Poppins”, “The Jungle Book”, “Winnie the Pooh”, “Chitty Chitty, Bang Bang” and everyone's favorite and one of the most well known songs in the world, “It's A Small World”! SadieBug the Ladybug!

Our final character for the new Tiny Oaks DVD is ready. Everyone, meet Sadiebug the ladybug! She shines the seashells down by the seashore.. Her sister Sarahbug sells the seashells that Sadie shines down by the seashore.. Please don't say that aloud, though.. You might strain your tongue. She is a little English ladybug that loves to play the matching game. Stick around and she will bug you to play all day with her! CLICK HERE to check her out!

Katie Pillar.. Up a Tree!

Another quick update. Katie Pillar, just outside of the Tiny Oaks tree. She'll go out on a limb to prove her point. The Tiny Oaks tree environment is still a work in progress, but here are a few shots of where it stands. More to come soon!

Construction Of the Tiny Oaks Village

Along with all the cute new characters being developed for the next Tiny Oaks DVD we are going to need some places to put them. Here is a peak at a village being built for the metal inset lesson.
We start by building a model of each object that will compose the city. We then place them in 3D space. After that we can begin to color , light and texture. This is the beginning of the process....I will post more updates as the city progresses.

We'd like to introduce everyone to Katie Pillar. In the second DVD we transform our Narrator into Katie Pillar, a cute and scholarly caterpillar.. Now, this is a work in progress render so there are bound to be changes, but we thought everyone would like an opportunity for a sneak peak. Enjoy!

It's been an amazing journey developing the first Tiny Oaks DVD with all the other people involved in our little company. So many different viewpoints, opinions and experiences combine to make the sum so much more than all the individual parts. Personally, I have been writing stories and bringing characters to life since I was a 5-year old. I think the secret to doing it well is never forgetting the little child you used to be, the one that got so much enjoyment out of them in the first place.
For our second DVD, we are introducing new and exciting characters that will join Amanda on her adventures. Now, a little wiser, Amanda herself can help to teach a lesson to her new friends. And fan favorite character family "The Grumble Brothers" will get an expanded role and really become part of the action. Keep checking back for new glimpses of all the fun!

I started playing the piano when I was 3-years old. My dad was upstairs practicing his song "It's a Small World", written for Walt Disney and the World's Fair in Chicago. When he finally stopped playing his piano, he thought he was hearing the song playing again in his head. But it was the 3-year old me copying what I had just heard on the spare piano that was in my bedroom. My parents rushed in and saw me playing, and both said at the same time, "I think we need to get this girl some lessons!" I have been playing ever since.
I love playing the piano, but my first love has always been children and teaching. And now with the Tiny Oaks DVDs, I can finally combine the two. I composed the "Gold Leaf Express" theme for DVD 1 and I am now working on a new piece for DVD 2. Stay tuned for a sneak peek of my new material! Love,Victoria Sherman Wolf

Ben and I enjoyed meeting Michele Eldon, Michael Jacobson and Richard Ungerer and having the opportunity to share with them our vision for TOE.
